The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, demons, and sinister influences increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to begin their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unworkable.

That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might look unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group understands precisely where to go next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise started the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan knows Timmony and advises that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the team reach places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that rule the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This results in them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Seekers and Strategists parties.

Audiences can expect learning which characters will be where in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
